Optimisation and selection of a TMS
Objectives of the project
One of our corporate clients, an industrial company active in the consumer goods sector, wanted to choose and implement the optimal solution for its treasury management.
Following numerous acquisitions and successive mergers, the Treasury IT environment of our client consisted of a number of different systems, and several internally developed tools in order to link these systems.
This architecture no longer allowed to cover the entire functional scope and is forcing many manual processes. Therefore it has been decided to set up a single TMS covering all treasury processes end to end.
Initially, our experts have carried out a detailed functional analysis of the customer needs by drawing up an inventory of the current practices within the group and the key features needed in the new tool (mapping of existing flows, the integration process with the accounting tool, applicable backup solutions,…). This allowed the definition of a target solution tailored to the customer needs.
Subsequently, our experts accompanied the client in an RFP process to select a solution provider that meets the needs of the chosen target solution. Since an RFP process is a critical phase for a successful selection and implementation of a treasury management system, our Azzana experts have created a detailed description of the system requirements, identified the appropriate providers and established a tailor made selection process. This allowed tehm to develop a balanced scorecard and a final recommendation.
After the selection of the provider, Azzana lead the implementation process for the selected solution, ensuring change management and a seamless transition without any interruption.
Results & Added value
The involvement of Azzana allowed our customer to implement a solution covering all his needs as well as the review and optimisation of the processes. In addition, this solution was designed with all relevant stakeholders, who have been involved throughout the project and accompanied the change.
This project was an opportunity for the Azzana experts to share their knowledge of best practices in the market and their strong business expertise that have helped control risk by identifying important needs which were not expressed by the client’s internal teams.
